Buttonwood Bonsai Intensive Workshop

Join us for an immersive, all-day hands-on intensive workshop where you will design and style your very own Buttonwood bonsai from scratch. Each student will choose their tree from over 60 available specimens, all 30+ years old, each one with its own unique character and story.

This small group format ensures personalized instruction tailored specifically to you and your tree. Suitable for all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned enthusiasts.

• Design sketches and styling concepts
• Selecting the best design before making major cuts
• Shari and Jin deadwood techniques
• Tree cleaning and pruning
• Structural wiring and branch placement
• Root work and repotting
• Long term development planning

Tools: We will be using professional bonsai tools including chainsaws, chisels and rotary tools. Feel free to bring your own tools or use those provided at the studio.

Food & Drinks: Drinks and pizza are included. we've got you covered for the day!

Duration: This is a full day intensive experience. We anticipate wrapping up around 6:00 PM, however the end time is subject to change, we finish when every tree is done and every student is happy with their work.
