Juniperus chinensis ‘Itoigawa’, commonly known as Itoigawa Shimpaku, is a favorite among bonsai growers for its fine, bright green, scale-like foliage and naturally compact growth. It’s cold hardy, holds its color well, and responds beautifully to wiring and styling, which makes it a classic choice for traditional juniper bonsai.
